What is USMLE Step 2 CK?
As an examinee, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate your ability to apply medical knowledge, skills, and understanding of clinical science essential for the provision of patient care under supervision. The emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention ensures that you are well-equipped to provide safe and competent care to your patients. This comprehensive exam, known as Step 2 CK, is designed to test your principles of clinical sciences and basic patient-centered skills that are the foundation of a successful medical practice.
The one-day examination is divided into eight 60-minute blocks, and you will have a total of 9 hours to complete the test. The number of questions per block may vary, but you can expect a maximum of 40 questions per block and a total of 318 questions on the overall examination.
How is USMLE Step 2 CK scored?
The minimum passing score of the USMLE Step 2 CK is now set at 214.
